The challenge is on! Komen Tidewater is challenging all area schools to join us in the 2016 Race for the Cure. Your scholl can get involved in several ways; as race route cheerleaders, musical entertainment, volunteers and race participants.
To get started as a race participant:
- Pick a Team Captain to form your race team
- Choose a name that's easy to identify with your school
- Invite other students, faculty, and parents to join the team with easy online registration
- Come out on race day to show your support as a school
To volunteer (cheerleaders, bands, ROTC, clubs)
- Contact Shawn Martin
Each school that accepts the challenge will receive discounted entry rates for students (contact Lisa Chacon for discount code), recognition from the stage on Race day, a designated gathering area on Race day, a certificate suitable for framing, and community service hours. Join other area schools that have already accepted the challenge and register now!
All the fun without the Run! Can't make it on Race day? Sleep in for the Cure!
