Susan G. Komen Tidewater says HATS OFF to Megan Silverman, Emma Wentworth, Frances Pierce and Molly Beegle who were the Fashion Show Coordinators of the 2018 Celebrate Pink event at Norfolk Collegiate. This was the 15th year, senior from Norfolk Collegiate School have organized this fashion show to raise both awareness and donations for Susan G. Komen Tidewater. This is the Affiliates largest and longest running school-sponsored event.

Komen 101 Volunteer Orientation
Learn the basics about Komen Tidewater and our volunteer opportunities. Komen 101 training will include an introduction to Susan G. Komen and the Tidewater Affiliate, how volunteers contribute to our success, and a Breast Cancer 101 overview.

ODU Hoops for the Cure
Old Dominion University in conjunction with Komen Tidewater continues the fight against breast cancer with the 17th Annual Hoops for the Cure. Show your support by wearing pink and watching the Lady Monarchs take on Middle Tennessee State University. Survivor vouchers are available at the Komen Tidewater Office.

Breast Cancer and Social Security Benefits
If you or a woman you love has been diagnosed with breast cancer, there may be
resources available for you and your family. The Social Security Administration (SSA)
offers disability benefits for people in need who are unable to work. While women with
breast cancer do not qualify with simply a diagnosis, thousands of people receive
disability benefits for breast cancer every year.
