This year, I registered for the Komen Race for the Cure in Tidewater because I wanted to take action and be More Than Pink™.
2017 marks the ten-year anniversary of my Mom's passing. That's 10 Christmases without her; 520 Sunday evening phone calls that we never got to share. She never got to see her grandkids grow up into the amazing humans that they've become, and she never even met some of them. Her life was cut way too short, and no one else should have to suffer the way she did.
I want to continue making an impact in the fight against breast cancer and need your help. For years, I've participated in Komen's 3-Day events, and while that wasn't possible this year, I hope you'll still find it in your heart to help me raise funds and awareness about this dreadful disease. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. 75 percent of the money raised through the Race stays in the community to fund local breast cancer education, screening, and treatment programs. The remaining 25 percent supports groundbreaking breast cancer research.
Together, with Komen, we are fueling the best science, boldest community and biggest impact in the fight against breast cancer. And we will not stop until this disease is gone forever. That's our promise. Will you please join me in this fight by making a donation today?
You too can be More Than Pink!
