What am I doing?  The following explains that question.  <3

Love Can Move Mountains

We worked, played, laughed, cried, shared our lives together. Two beautiful ladies and I.  Life was so much fun. Then that ugly C word hit.  Breast Cancer. Life was never the same.  God had a plan. He needed you two back even though we all needed you here. All we could do thru your battle was love and support you. You're in Heaven by God's side. But your memory lives in all of us.  I haven't let anyone forget you. I have fought in your memory since you left me here sad and wondering why I'm still here. I have fought the last 9 yrs in your memory to raise money to find a cure. I have fought in your memory for the sisters still here fighting their battle.  But, thru my love for you I have enlightened so many about the perils of Breast cancer. One sad, lonely Senior on a mission. 2017 will be my 12th  Walk. 10th raising funds I'm still missing you, fighting for you. Hundreds of people who know you, or know you thru me are keeping your memory alive. $30,000 later those wonderful people are honoring you thru donations donated to Susan G. Komen. It only takes one determined senior to move mountains in honor of two beautiful ladies who are loved and missed. Until we are together again I will be here fighting in your memory.  Dedicated to Dot and Mary my Heavenly Angels and those sitting along side of you and the Brave Sisters here on earth still fighting.  I Love You!!

Your breast health…
The greatest risk factors for breast cancer are being female and growing older.  Breast cancer knows no boundaries be it age, gender, socio-economic status or geographic location.  One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. That’s one in eight within your company, school and organization!

The key to survival is early detection.  Three simple steps for early detection are regular mammograms, clinical exams and breast self exams.  It is important to make healthy lifestyle choices.  And, remember, breast cancer affects more than just the patient; friends and family need support too.

What does Komen do?
For the past 25 years, Komen for the Cure has played a critical role in every major advance in the fight against breast cancer – transforming how the world talks about and treats this disease, and helping to turn millions of breast cancer patients into breast cancer survivors. Over the next 25 years, an estimated 25 million women around the world will be diagnosed with breast cancer if we don’t find a cure.  Komen will not stop until a cure is found and delivered. That’s our promise.

We Will Find the Cure!
